Why should I get my windows cleaned?

There are several reasons why cleaning your windows is important. Firstly, dirty windows can detract from the overall appearance and aesthetic of your home or building. Regular window cleaning can help keep your windows looking clean and clear, enhancing the curb appeal and value of your property.

Secondly, clean windows can improve the efficiency of your home. Dust, dirt, and debris can build up on your windows over time, obstructing natural light and reducing the amount of heat that enters your home during colder months. This can result in higher energy bills and less comfortable living conditions.

Thirdly, regular window cleaning can help prevent damage to your windows. Dirt and debris can scratch and etch the surface of glass, making it more prone to cracking and chipping. By keeping your windows clean, you can minimize the risk of costly repairs or replacements down the line.

In addition to these practical benefits, there are also psychological perks to cleaning your windows. Studies have shown that exposure to natural light can improve mood, reduce stress, and enhance productivity. By ensuring that your windows are clean and clear, you can maximize the benefits of natural light in your home or workspace.

Overall, there are many compelling reasons to prioritize window cleaning as part of your regular household maintenance routine. From improving the appearance and efficiency of your home to protecting your investment and promoting wellness, keeping your windows clean can pay off in numerous ways.

How often should I get my gutters cleaned?

The frequency with which you should have your gutters cleaned will depend on a variety of factors, such as the type of trees surrounding your home, the climate in your area, and the condition of your gutters themselves.

If you live in an area with a lot of trees, you may need to have your gutters cleaned more frequently in order to prevent them from becoming clogged with leaves and other debris. Similarly, if you live in an area with heavy rainfall or snowfall, you may need to have your gutters cleaned more often in order to prevent water damage to your home.

In general, it's a good idea to have your gutters cleaned at least once a year. However, if you notice signs of clogging, such as water overflowing from your gutters, it may be necessary to have them cleaned more frequently.

It's also important to keep an eye out for signs of damage or wear and tear on your gutters. If you notice cracks, holes, or other damage, it may be time to have them replaced or repaired in order to prevent water damage to your home.

Ultimately, the key to maintaining clean and functional gutters is to stay proactive and take prompt action when needed. By keeping your gutters clean and well-maintained, you can help protect your home and prolong the life of your roof and foundation.

What if it rains on a day that I scheduled?

If it rains on the day you are scheduled, the technician will still come out to do the job, unless you call in and reschedule. In certain instances (thunderstorms, lighting, bad storms) will call you to confirm. Otherwise, expect us to be there for you.

How do you count your windows?

Our technicians are trained to count all windows by the pane. In the instances where there are half-moon windows, or half windows above double hung windows, they are only counted as half. Any big bay windows or palladiums may be counted as two windows depending on the size. Tru-Divided windows are any windows that have the grills set and can not be removed. These are charged differently than the regular or casement windows. Last but not least if your house has any storm windows, those we counted as two windows (one for the actual window & one for the two sliding storm windows).

What if the Glass Clear doesn’t work?

When our technicians arrive, they will assess if our Glass Clear product will work on a test area that is not so visible first. If you are satisfied, we will proceed with the job to make sure you are happy.

Are there any specific types of windows that require more frequent cleaning than others?

Yes, there are certain types of windows that may require more frequent cleaning than others. For example, if you have windows that are located near busy roads or highways, they may accumulate more dirt and dust than windows in quieter areas. Similarly, if you live in a coastal area where there is a lot of salt spray in the air, your windows may need to be cleaned more frequently to prevent damage from the corrosive effects of salt.

Another factor that can affect how often you need to clean your windows is the age and condition of the windows themselves. Older windows may not be as energy-efficient as newer models, causing condensation and moisture buildup that can lead to mold and mildew growth. Also, if your windows are single-paned or have broken seals, they may be more prone to fogging up and developing water spots, which can be difficult to remove without proper cleaning techniques.

In general, it's a good idea to clean your windows at least once or twice a year, depending on your specific circumstances. However, if you notice signs of damage or wear and tear on your windows, it may be best to seek professional assistance in order to avoid causing further harm. Ultimately, the key to maintaining clean and functional windows is to stay vigilant and take prompt action when needed.

Why Should I clean my window screens?

Window screen cleaning is an important task that many people neglect. There are several reasons why it is essential to clean your window screens regularly. Firstly, dirty window screens can affect the overall appearance of your windows. They can become discoloured, stained, and clogged with dirt and debris, making your windows look unsightly.

Secondly, dirty window screens can affect the efficiency of your windows. Clogged screens can prevent air from flowing freely through your windows, reducing their ability to provide proper ventilation to your home. This can lead to a buildup of moisture and condensation, which can result in the growth of mold and mildew on your windowsills and walls.

Thirdly, dirty window screens can affect your health. Dust and debris trapped in your window screens can aggravate allergies and other respiratory conditions, causing sneezing, coughing, and other symptoms. In addition, dirty window screens can attract pests such as spiders and insects, which can further exacerbate health problems.

Finally, regular window screen cleaning can help prolong the lifespan of your screens. By removing dirt and debris, you can prevent damage to the mesh and frame of your screens, ensuring that they last longer and require less frequent replacements.

In summary, window screen cleaning is an essential task that can improve the appearance of your windows, enhance their efficiency, protect your health, and prolong the lifespan of your screens.
